I need to get a new one. I worry more about mtn lions! Besides hiking with a dog, what else can you do for scaring off mountain lions when you hike?<br />RoseyChloe mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02265196480664185330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18299306.post-65967283373888751692009-08-04T13:41:01.826-06:002009-08-04T13:41:01.826-06:00That is sad. When we were hiking in Oregon week before last we got separated from our husbands, and got a little spooked by noises in a tree and started singing at the top of our lungs--it was my friend's husband trying to scare us. Turkey! He reminded me that you can scare mountain lions away by clicking 2 sticks together. It renews me and is one of those things that God uses to breath life into me. Me and the book club I go to are doing the Incline soon, which is a really steep old railroad hike (goes up Pikes Peak) so I have started to get ready for that challenge. Not sure if my 41 year old body is up to the steep grade anymore, but will give it a try. I hope you get a chance to go hiking soon and can totally relate to your love for hiking!Andy and Wendy Ingramhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06821536616243449482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18299306.post-64230611344974482202009-08-03T20:04:34.763-06:002009-08-03T20:04:34.763-06:00A bear bell?
