thinking out loud...

...randomly, of course...

why is gas so expensive? and why do i keep running out of it so quickly? i filled up a few days ago and am running low again. *sigh*

i am so thankful that my girls each have a good friend. the fact that their best friends are sisters is icing on the cake. i love it when they get to play together and i get to hear them laughing with each other. music to my ears.

every drink tastes better with ice from Sonic. i know that because i bought a bag of Sonic ice a couple of weeks ago. it's lasted this long because i refuse to share it with anyone. did you know you could buy their ice by the bag? yep, you can, and if you use a styrofoam cup and close your eyes, you might trick yourself into believing you're enjoying one of their fountain drinks.

my new salad spinner will spin for 74 seconds before coming to a stop. i know that because will and i just timed it. we're not bored or anything. really.

i love guacamole.

i forgot to chop the cilantro to put on top of our taco salad tonight. man, i hate that because i love cilantro on my taco salad. at least i remembered the guac. wonder if there's any left.

i love cool summer evenings in colorado. love that i need a jacket or sweatshirt. love sitting outside and watching the sun set behind the mountains. don't really love that i can hear my next-door-neighbor's chickens clucking out there, but i guess i should be thankful they don't have a rooster.

our poor dog is smothered with attention (and hugs and kisses). i guess that's why i keep finding him napping in my closet. i think he's hiding from the kids, especially our youngest one. oh, and he sure seems to be shedding a lot lately. i guess he's losing his winter coat.

should i read after the kids are in bed, or should i watch a couple episodes of Gilmore Girls? if i'm not too tired, maybe i can do both.

speaking of reading, when are my library books due?

i need to buy a new razor. it would have been nice to have remembered that when i was at wallyworld the other day.

hope the sun comes out tomorrow. it was cloudy and cool today.

so glad that tomorrow is thursday. tomorrow night is girls' night out...can't wait.

i should probably stop now...the people reading this can't take much more!

STOP.

You had me at "ice from Sonic." Okay, you can BUY their ice? I'm tempted to drop what I'm doing this moment and go there. They're open 'til midnight or later, you know. And it's later. If Gary wouldn't flip out hearing the garage door open, I might really leave. This pregnancy, I'm addicted to ice chomping, and Sonic ice is like gourmet ice.

Okay, I'm going back to read the rest. I seriously stopped reading when I came to that part.

Sorry, Mer. It was all downhill after ice from Sonic. My mind was just stuck back there.

I am curious about what razor you use that you need a new one. I think I have razor ADD and switch all the time. I can't decide which one I like best. I chose my current one based on it's pretty color.

I should go to bed. My comments are sounding as random as your post. :)

Well, if it makes you feel any better- gas/petrol is about £11 a gallon here. It costs us over $100 to fill up our CAR.

I am so missing and craving Sonic!!! Living up in the NE we don't have any...so this summer when we head south I have to get a years worth-if that were possible! :) Sounds like you're enjoying summer! Love reading your posts! :)

Oh My goodness, I LOVE that post! It is so great to know that others have such randomness running through their heads at all times.

Guess what?!!? Sonic opened in out town!! It is still a 20 minute drive from our house, but it is in the same town now! We tried to go there last week, but when we got there it was a 45 minute wait for a stall, the drive thru and the walk-up. We didn't stay.....
I'll have to remember to buy a bag of ice when we do go!!

These are some of my favorite types of posts. They give little tidbits into your daily life, and I love that.

Have fun on your girls' night out. Sounds fun.

I thought I knew everything there was to know about the salad spinners you and I have. I didn't know that. But I also don't think I'm quite that bored yet. Actually, I haven't had an extra 74 seconds to stand and watch my salad spinner spin in ages. LOL

The Venus Embrace is one of the best razors I have EVER owned and I have been WAITING for someone to say they needed a new razor so I could tell them how excited I am about this razor!

Of course, the extra trip to Walmart isn't going to save you any gas. :D

Found your blog via "For Such a Time." I love your randomness. It sounds like the same patterns I have in my head all the time.

I loved this post! Fun peaking into your thoughts. :o)

I love Sonic ice and have bought it by the bag on several occasions. The only ice that I have found that is actually better is the shaved ice at DQ but we do not have one in our town so I enjoy my sonic ice. With all three of my pregnancies my only craving was ice. I have sort of become a Connaisseur.

I so need a salad spinner!

We finally got a sonic up here about a year ago, and I didn't know you can buy their ice. And I'm right there with you on the guacamole.
