Unedited Thoughts on Nothing (and I really mean NOTHING!)

I have a huge, and I really mean HUGE pimple on my chin. And it hurts even when I'm not touching it. Lovely.

I haven't had a drink from Starbucks in two weeks. TWO WEEKS, people! That is huge for me. I was tempted to stop on the way home from church last night because it was SO cold, but I kept on driving. Now, I'm doubly glad because I slept horribly and I'm sure the caffeine wouldn't have helped at all.

I'm beginning to think Facebook is ridiculous. The status updates? Who really cares what I'm doing? Or what you're doing for that matter. Interestingly, I don't feel the same about Twitter. I have some theories about why that is...

I painted a ceramic Blessing Bowl and eight stones to go with it last night at church. I can't wait to see it after it's fired and tell you more about it. (It's very cool!)

Highs are in the 30s this week. I'm tired of being cold, but realize that spring is still far off for us. *sigh*

Abbey is home sick again today. My kids never get perfect attendance awards. If they're getting sick, actually ARE sick, or are getting over being sick, I'm quick to keep them at home. Today, I'm banning HSM3. Abbey watched it way too many times yesterday and I'm ready to move on to some Anne Shirley--our classic sick-day dvd.

I drank the last of my gingerbread coffee from TJ's this morning. I'm a little sad about it too. It has only lasted this long because I didn't willingly share. (John didn't love it though so that's okay!)

I never buy books. I'm a library girl. However, I did buy the first three books in the Twilight series (why?) and was so happy that I was able to borrow the fourth one. Well, now it looks like I'll be buying that one too because my dog gnawed the corners of Molly's book. (Sorry, Molly! I'm replacing it for you). Argghh. I have a love-hate relationship with our dog.

Speaking of that book...WEIRD...and I'm still not finished with it because it is so absurd. I'm trying to read a little every day but I'm not trying very hard.

I don't live in a place that sees rain very often. Our precipitation is usually of the frozen variety. But I'm really, really wishing for a rainy day.

I thought this was funny: I grabbed Abbeys' ipod yesterday before hitting the treadmill. I shuffled through Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift and the Mamma Mia & HSM soundtracks while doing my run/walk workout (I'm trying to keep our lonely treadmill company these days).

Anyway, I'm shuffling through and get to some hard rock song. Evidently she convinced someone in our family to load Rock You Like A Hurricane by the Scorpions onto her cute little pink shuffle. Which now explains why she was grinning from ear to ear last week (with the earbuds stuck in her ears and the shuffle clipped onto her belt) when she told me that she had some sweet new tunes on her ipod. (I'm pretty sure my mother is cringing right about now).

I don't know what all the hype is about with Facebook, or Twitter. I'm interested to know your thoughts b/c people keep telling me I should do them. Why?

Anne Shirley is my hero and we watch her when we're sick too.

You make me miss Starbucks:) It's been at least a month for me!

I'm beginning to totally agree with you about Facebook. At first it was tons of fun connecting with so many people but now it seems like a waste of time.

I'm excited to see your bowl! my daughter and I had fun with pottery last month.

Oh, I look forward to reading what you say about twitter. I haven't done that and wonder what it's all about. I'm afraid to add one more thing!

Twitter is definitely more useful.

HAHA - Abbey's ipod - LOL.

My Twitter updates flow over to my Facebook, so even though it looks like I use Facebook, I'm rarely on there. It's just not all that exciting for me either. I am using it to replace our old class website that I'm currently paying for.

I love Twitter...

Well, I just got a tall Cinnamon Dolce latte at Starbucks, so I'll drink it in your honor!

I'm thinking the next time I'm sick I'm breaking out my Anne of Green Gables collection. Guys just don't get Anne, do they?

Funny...I've been thinking the same thing about Facebook lately. I just read other people's stuff, but I'm gonna quit posting about myself.

Can't wait to hear about your blessing basket!

Stay warm~

I know you & I had the Facebook discussion. I don't Twitter anymore, because on Facebook I'm connected to family & friends who live far away. I've noticed a big difference in my stress level since I unfriended a lot of people, though.

I had gotten out of the Starbucks habit until I got 3 gift cards for Christmas. I've been going about once a week to treat myself.

Can't wait to hear more about your bowl!

ouch! Pimples that hurt are the worst!

Sorry about Starbucks...
Do you have Dutch Bros. there? It's cheaper and GOOD! ...maybe it's just a westcoast thing...

Can't wait to see pics of your bowl! I've been wanting to go "create" some pottery for awhile.

I've been slacking on Facebook, but I just read that comment above about sending your twitters to your facebook, I might try that because I stay connected w/ some good friends and family through facebook (don't do much else on it, though)

I DO like twitter, though:)

...I love random posts like this. I think it just really sheds light on who a person is and what their days are like! So keep 'em coming.

Tell me why we Twitter. You're the one that got me started in the first place. I'm still trying to figure out what to do and how to use it. Though I do like hearing from folks. And I have a random person following me now and I don't know what I think about it.

This randomness brought to you by four cups of coffee.

I adore your blog!

Please post pictures of your prayer basket -- I'm intrigued.

Your TJs Gingerbread coffee lasted a month longer than mine! I wish they carried it year-round!

And...I'm with you on the Twilight books -- only read them myself because everyone was so crazy about them. Def. don't think they are teen appropriate!

Best wishes in getting everyone in your home well!

OK- I'm am so intrested in your take on twitter vs. facebook. I do not like twitter at all and love FB.

I'm not big on Facebook myself. At least not all the extra's. However, most of my brothers and sis just got on within the last 2 weeks, so it'll be fun to share pics and communicate with them.
Plus, I IM with Chels nearly everyday. That has been nice.

was beginning to think i was the only one of your readers who loves facebook! glad to see Jillian, Inc. likes it. my blog has suffered b/c i'm spending my computer time on FB. i have so many friends and family across the country whom i love to see pics of and even IM!

Thanks, Abbey--I'll be singing that song the rest of the day! Talk about old school!

I can't "get" Twitter, I've tried and just can't see the need to do both so I've picked fb...

Anywho....love hearing random thoughts...hope you have a great evening!

Two Weeks without Starbucks! I am so proud of you!

If I lived there I would totally celebrate by taking you there. Cause I'm a good enabler.

I LOVE Anne Shirley. As a matter of fact I could probably quote that movie backwards and forwards.

Just realized today that we have a TJ's. I'll have to check out there coffee!

I love facebook. I tried to set up on Twitter and couldn't figure it out. And now I'm afraid to try and figure it out, because I really CANNOT add one more thing to do on this computer. Let us know your thoughts though...love to know.

And how much do I heart Anne Shirley....and Gilbert Blythe...be still my heart!! :)

For some reason I've never gotten into Facebook, altho I've gotten plenty of invites. Today I heard on the radio that the owner is making the contract so that even if you leave Facebook, everything you have on there, incl. pictures, remains in their possession too. Now, what do they want with all of that stuff? That's WEIRD.

About Twilight, I've had no inclination to read that. Sounds too weird. Everyone said how great The Shack was, so I got it from the library. Now that was WEIRD, too! Jesus is not a black woman!!! Not worth the read, IMO.

Good for you for getting on the treadmill. The only way I can tolerate time on mine is listening to an audio-book.

So, facebook is just a place to pimp the blog- but I'm thinking about getting rid of it. It's rather dumb.

And Twilight? Weird? Seriously? I read each of them in a day and I liked the last one the best. It is such a tidy ending.

Abbey's playlist is varied........that is great!

Ok, so what is Twitter?

I wish I had a Starbucks near me!!! I can't wait to hear more about your Blessing Bowl and the 8 stones. . . interesting.. .
I LOVE the fact that you have a sick-day DVD. I need one of those:)

I hate pimples that hurt. Put toothpaste on it before you go to bed tonight - it works, I promise!

We are having 50-degree weather here and I don't like it one bit. I'm ready for the 80s and 90s to get here.

I loved this whole entire post!

I can't believe you have to purchase #4... OF ALL THE BOOKS! such a dumb book!

I'm still wrestling with the facebook thing too... hmmm...

sorry about your pimple. you don't even want to IMAGINE the one on my chin... it's awful.

I did Twitter for exactly one day. One day! I realized there was just no way I needed another single thing to try to keep up with. Besides, my life is too boring. LOL

We got our money's worth out of the Twilight series. Mandy borrowed all four books from a friend. She loaned them to Krissy who in turn loaned them to me and I returned them to Mandy who returned them to her friend. :-)

And yes, the fourth book got a tad strange, although I was happy with the ending.

Just this morning, we finally went to our local library and got cards. And lots and lots of free books. Hooray!

Mmmm TJ's Gingerbread Coffee is so yummy. His Girl keeps telling me that I need to read your blog, so here I am! Blessings to you!

I'm on a serious Starbucks reduction plan, too, unless some of that stimulus package will buy a caramel macchiato for me each week. . .

Happened to listen to Rock you like a Hurricane (and There's No One Like You - my personal favorite Scorpions song) with the orchestra this morning in car pool line. Great stuff!

Not sure about the Facebook-hating going on here. I love it!!! I love knowing what friends from middle school are doing every morning, noon, and night. Well, within reason.
