10 on the 10th

I'm generally a pretty content person. It doesn't take much to make me happy. I have everything I need, and a lot of what I want. That said, I thought I'd share a few things on my "wish list". These are things I'm either saving for or that I'd buy for myself if I didn't have such a hard time spending money. I suppose that's a good problem to have though, right?

1. Ugg clogs. I'm not one to spend a lot of money on clothes or shoes BUT these just look so warm and comfy--like slippers I could wear out of the house. Love 'em.

2. Bose SoundDock. I started saving for one of these last year and somehow lost track of my goal. It's on my Christmas wish list!

3. Fiestaware. John and I have been married for twenty years and our everyday dishes are showing their age. I've bought cheap, lead-laden sets throughout the years, but we're ready for some better quality plates and bowls that are solid, fun colors. I found out that Dillard's sells open stock Fiestaware so I'm saving for the pieces I want!

4. BookBook laptop bag. Actually, I'd love to buy this bag for John so that he'd give me his booq bag. The reality is that we have no need for more than one laptop bag. I just like the BookBook's clever, unique design. It's not something you see all the time.

5. A down comforter/duvet. Honestly, I can't believe we've lived in Colorado this long without one. Especially since I'm the most cold-natured freak on the planet. Or at least in our house.

6. A bigger stock pot. I used to have two but I burned something a few years ago and ended up giving the burned one to Goodwill. I like the one I have but my family is outgrowing it! I'd love to have a really nice, big, heavy one. Maybe this brand?

7. A steam mop. Do any of you have one? Do you love it? Hate it? Tell me! I think the germaphobe in me would love the sterilizing feature!

8. A new hoodie. I love this hoodie and I love this brand. I have an older one that has thumbholes so I can pull the end of the sleeve over my knuckles--it's awesome! I keep waiting for these to go on sale because I rarely pay full price for clothing!

9. A DVR. I know I'd love this for sooooo many reasons.

10. SmartWool socks. Okay, this is one thing I don't have a hard time spending money on. It's so worth it for me to have warm toes in the winter. I don't own a single pair of plain cotton socks. SmartWools are all I wear...and that's why my current pairs are sporting holes.

Anything fun on your wish list?

Feel free to link up with your own list of ten things. Tomorrow (I'm posting this on Saturday because I try to unplug on Sundays) is actually 10-10-10. Cool, huh? Wish I'd thought of that before I wrote this list.

You HAVE to get a Steam Mop. I have the green Bissell one and LOVE it! It's light and fits in to a closet, uses only distilled or sterile water to clean my floors and I will never use another thing ever. I have told several other ladies here about it, as it was recommended to me, and I can tell you at least 5 others who have bought one after my recommendation and will tell you the same thing. :) Mine was about $75 at the PX which was well worth it to me. It came with 2 of the pads. I buy the filters online in bulk and still only pay about $50 for many, many months of filters. Go on out and get you one too! :)

Check Homegoods for that stock pot - you'll save about half. I just got a frying pan, same brand, and I think it was $14! I've had good success with Overstock.com for bedding - we bought our down comf. and duvet cover from them.

We are SO OPPOSITE in the spending money department!!! LOL. (help!)

No DVR? That's blasphemy! It's pretty much the only reason we pay for upgraded cable.

I want a doughnut pan. Saw one at JoAnn's a few months back and figured I'd just ask for it for my birthday, and of course now they don't have them any more.

And I definitely want some Philosophy shower gel....so many scents I love, and they also make chocolate, which I love at Christmas.

ok DVR and duvet are must haves!

steam mop: i have one and i like it. and i can't see any option i like better. however, i sometimes miss having the smell of a cleaner on the floor like pine sol. also, it may not be doing my hard wood floors any favors. they don't seem as shiny lately.

That was fun! I have a constant wish list that I keep around to help Mike with Christmas/birthday ideas.
I'm helpful like that. :)

I love the laptop bag, but I need a laptop to go in it first! It's on my wish list (the one I have of things I'll probably never get).

I got a Bose sound dock for Christmas last year and I have used it every single day since. I love it. And we just got dvr in the last year, and I love it too. I never watch live tv anymore, and I really believe that having it helps us all watch less tv. We just tape the shows were interested in and there's never any channel surfing.

Smart Wools are awesome. My brother in law buys them somewhere in TN for really cheap so we all get some every Christmas.

I have 2,3 and 6 on my wishlist, too! Although, I might want to get an even bigger stockpot, maybe 12 qts.
I only buy things on sale and with a coupon and I get teased about it all the time. I laugh because I really save so much money.

Hope

I want a steam mop too! I'm hoping to find a good deal on one. And Fiesta Ware is on my list as well.

I totally have this yearning to get all new cookware and fiestaware, too. by my calculations, if I had only about 5 majillion dollars, I would be able to equip my kitchen properly!

LOVE having a DVR! We watch more movies than television shows! I love recording things ahead of time and then when we have time, knowing we will have something decent to watch.

And you're not the only cold freak. I live in Idaho and think I should be living in Texas instead. :) My nose gets cold and my upper arms. Once chilled, I can't warm up all day!

I have DVR...really, really love it!
While we were in CO, I made my husband stop by REI in Denver, did you know that REI make a version of smartwool socks. I don't know how they wear (comparable) but they are cheaper. I did buy a pair of them. So we shall see!

Ha! The top three things on your list are also on my list...IF I had a list!
Uggs, the Bose Sound Dock (Costco has it and I listen and drool when I shop) and the b.yu.tiful Fiestaware. How fun it would be to set a table with that??
I found you from His Girl Amber, btw.
Have a good day!
