Score!

Are you guys aware of Freecycle? I always describe it as being similar to Craigslist, only better, because everything is 100% free! You may remember back in November that I found our dog, Jack, this way. It's really pretty cool, and sometimes you can find fabulous stuff.

Stuff like this--my latest Freecycle find!

It's a brand new, Starbucks French press.

Now honestly, I'm not the coffee connessiour in our house and and when I responded to the offer, I wasn't entirely sure what a French press was. This is more of what I had in mind.

But, I'm happy with it nonetheless. And am hoping to try it out tonight when J is home to share some coffee with me. :)

After I dropped the kids off this morning, I drove to the lady's house to pick it up. It was snowing and was a big mess. Her neighborhood streets weren't plowed, were very hilly, and a couple of times I didn't think Minnie-the-van was going to make it. It looked like this outside...and normally, if it wasn't snowing, you'd be able to see mountains in the background. Today, they were covered with snow clouds.

Since it was 18 degrees and so dreary and cold, I decided I needed to make a Starbucks run on the way home. When I saw the drive-thru line wrapped around the building, I decided to park and go inside. So glad I did because I was able to peruse the merchandise shelf, and noticed the exact same French press I'd just picked up for free sporting a retail price of $39.99.

I think I scored!

Check out Freecycle sometime.

Love your French press! that's what we use here, I don't have a coffee maker. I have one that makes 2 cups and one that makes 6 cups. :)

Congratulations! We have an automatic coffee maker AND a French press. We use the French press for weekend coffee, when we have time to make it and enjoy it. It's absolutely wonderful.

For a real treat, try Starbucks Casi Cielo coffee in a French press. Out of this world.

Mer,
Thanks for your sweet words on my blog.

I just spoke at our women's retreat and living in the new identity was the topic for Saturday so it was fresh on my mind.

God has been stirring me to deeper places in learning how to live in who He says I am.

I am so glad that the words He gave me encouraged you!

I remember your name that He gave you!!! : )

You are truly a diamond of great value!

Oh and by the way. We have the same Starbucks French Press. Someone gave us one when David was working there. He has used it a few times and liked it!!

I think you scored too!

Much love,
Julie

That is so fun, Mer. Our Freecycle group isn't very active, but I'll keep watching!

Ooo! You did score. I love a deal and free is the best deal. I'll have to check out Freecycle soon.

I'd love to have a French Press, too.

Wow! What a cool "find" on Freecycle! I'm a part of the one here and have found and given away many things, but nothing probably as good as this! Enjoy!

I'd say you DID score!

I used to have a similar (cheaper) French press and it was great for when I didn't want to pull out all the stops and make a full pot of coffee. But still wanted a cuppa.

Good grief. You DID score! That was worth the dismal drive, I'm sure. Lucky you. :-)
