Carnival: If You Came To My House Today

One of my dearest blog friends, Kellie@LaVidaDulce is hosting a fun blog carnival this weekend. She asked us to complete this prompt and link up:

If you came to my house today...

So, if you arrived on my doorstep I'd invite you into my messy, messy house.

I'd offer you a cup of tea or coffee or maybe hot chocolate because our glorious weather has disappeared and it's once again cold.

I'm still not showered. My kids are home today and we're having a slow day. I asked them if they wanted to go see a movie or get out and do something fun. They all said no. Begged me to let them stay at home all day. (They're definitely MY kiddos--homebodies to the core!)

So there's really nothing extraordinary or creative or super fun going on at our house today. I'm just spending this day cleaning and getting things in order for the weekend so we can rest. Our last few weekends have been brutal! We've been going non-stop. But I hear there's snow on the way so we're hoping to lay low and watch movies and read and get caught up on our rest.

What about you? What's on your plate today? Anything fun?

And by the way, I'm sure Kellie would love for you to join the carnival. I bet she'd even save you come cotton candy or a fried twinkie.

Fried twinkie. I think I might throw up in my mouth just a little bit for that. And that's not like me b/c I like the junk food.

Glad you're home today. My kids love to go to the movies, but it's hard to say whether they're going for the popcorn or the movie. J wants to watch Steel Magnolias again (and I think we'll even have D peaking around the corner b/c I watched it with him), so that's the plan for tonight.

You had me at Dearest Blog Friend....such sweet words that I cherish. I think the same of you.

Now, I've enjoyed visiting your house today because I LOVE to have a day at home to do pretty-much-nothing, or everything-but-but-nothing-that-requires-to-much.

I love that your kids are homebodies too!

Now, we need to work on getting you to REALLY coming to my house, or me REALLY getting to sit and drink hot beverages in PJ's with you!

Thanks for playing!

Coming from Kellie's. Sounds like the perfect day! My kids love to stay home on days off, too. That actually makes me feel good that they like our home that much.

We love to sit and watch movies in our jammies on a snowy day. Not too many of those in NC, though.

Have a great weekend!

Eventually I'll get out of my pj's and head to a flag football game, though I'd rather stay home and clear my google reader that's sat unattended for three days.

Would love to have a cup of hot cocoa and stay in and watch movies with you.
