Question of the Week...

Do you clip coupons?

Me? Yes ma'am. I've been clipping them for ages. (Or at least for the almost 18 years I've been married.)

I save between $25-40 each month in coupons. Sometimes more.

So...are you a coupon clipper too?

I'm now an avid coupon clipper b/c I just realized that you can get FREE things by combining coupons with store sales! Who knew?

I occasionally use coupons, but most of the things I use aren't name brands so I rarely get coupons for them. If it's a really good coupon that I can combine with a good sale I'll use them.

More often I save money by checking the sale ads and getting the lowest price at Walmart.

RE: the post below this one, I agree with you totally. I try to be purposeful with my greetings and questions of others, but I'm often guilty of just mindlessly mouthing the words and moving on without expecting or waiting for an honest answer. Must. Do. Better!

Love and hugs,

Diane

PS: Only a few days ago it was in the mid 80's here. Tonight we have a freeze/frost warning. Again! This late in the season! Oy!

I used to clip coupons. But I gave it up a few years ago. It just wasn't worth the time required for me.

Plus, not worrying about coupons means I no longer have to get the newspaper in any shape or form. Not only does that save me time and money, but I'm much more content without paging through the Target ad every week.

Mer,

We don't get the newspaper, so I'm more likely to "clip" on-line coupons. My mom, sister, and grandma often send me coupons from their papers. Love it!

I don't use coupons nearly as much as I used to, but I do still clip them. If you're careful not to buy something you don't really need just because you have a coupon, the savings can really add up.

Ughh! No, I don't, but I wish I did. I am so OCD that I can't stand to collect anything extra. Terrible, isn't it?

I have a few that I keep in my wallet, but don't actually hunt for them.

You know, I WANT to be a coupon clipper, but the times I tried I felt like I was buying products that I would never normally buy, just because I had a coupon.

I would spend a lot of time clipping coupons but never actually using them!

Ooooh yeah! I love coupons. I don't get them off the computer yet, just out of the paper. My mom used to mail them to me.
I love clearance sales, too. :)

I clip all right. But then I forget to take them to the store with me. Every Sunday I go through and clip them out and put them in this special coupon holder but it's too big for most of my purses and I always end up going to the store after work or at lunch and then I don't have them with me. But if I'm good and plan ahead - I do pretty good. I need to do better!

I clip when I get a newspaper since we don't have a subscription. But I always forget to use them, so they pile up in my "coupon drawer." At least they're organized, even if most of them expire before I look at them again.

I do clip. I know a lot of people have said to me that it is a waste of time for a quarter (or whatever) but I don't think so. I figured it out one time that I saved $30 one week ALONE on groceries!

I do not clip. I would love to hear your strategy. Do you get the paper daily or just the Sunday paper?

Share your knowledge please!! :o)

Yes!!! I also save between $25-40 a month and this month I have saved $50+. If people make fun of me, I tell them how much I save per year and they quit laughing.

Yes. I am a clipper. And I am finally seeing some success at the coupon game. Yay!

I need coupon clipper tips.

I feel the same as an above poster, that I get sidetracked at the thought of "It is only a quarter off" and I'm also OCD on saving stuff...bottom line is I'M LAZY and don't want to put in the time it probably takes to save decent bucks.

I did when we got the paper... haven't done any here but I shop at Aldi now, which is CHEAP!

I always clip coupons...and then leave them at home or in the car...they're always the same place as my reusable grocery bags--never in the store. That would be too orderly and together. Clearly two adjectives I can't use for self-description. ;) xxxooogretchen
