i *heart* saturdays...

Such a great Saturday we're having!

Started off with John making pancakes for the kids, and fried eggs for the grown-ups (and the beagle). Love it when he makes breakfast!

Had a fun date with him last night. Went to one of our favorite mexican places. Weather was great so we ate outside and talked uninterrupted for a long time. Afterwards went to a surprise birthday for one of our friends. He turned 30, and that made me feel old, but had such a fun time with friends!

Ran to the grocery store and Blockbuster with Will this morning. Will has been dying to see the third Indiana Jones movie, and I was excited to find Baby Mama. I hope it's funny. I'm in the mood to laugh.

Know what annoys me about grocery shopping on Saturdays? The solicitors camped out at the store entrance. All I want to do is walk in the store without being asked to buy popcorn, raffle tickets and newspapers. Arghh.. but not going to let that ruin my day.

Couldn't find the Razorback game on television here, so kept refreshing the live stats update on espn.com Was NOT a pretty game and so glad I didn't pay money for a ticket! Still not ruining my day though.

It's beautiful outside. About 70 degrees and sunny.

The girls are playing together so well...laughing and playing Wizard of Oz with their Happy Meal toys. Will is at a friend's house and John went for a run. John was at a book show yesterday and brought me a huge new stack of books including, Eat, Pray, Love. Started it last night and am anxious to read more. Books make me happy.

Getting together tonight with my "Summit Sisters" to celebrate our hike last week. So excited to meet at 3Margaritas...the place it all began. We met there right after New Years and hatched our plan to train/climb.

The laundry is done, the house is clean, the weather is perfect, and the afternoon is slow-paced and relaxing. I *heart* days like this!

Glad you're having a good Saturday. Mine has been really lazy so far, but I have to go cook supper and make preparations for Sunday Dinner soon, so that will be the end of my laziness.

Hope you have a blessed Sunday too!

Love and hugs,

Diane

Hi, Meredith, i'm Kelli. I think I must have gotten to your blog from Diane's (above) but I read today about you loving the Razorbacks and had to ask you where in Arkansas you were from! I love reading your blogs and am happy to find another arkansas fan! I live in Conway now... Arkansas all my life.

Keep writing, I'm enjoying it. Stop by my blog if you have time sometime.

So jealous...especially of the laundry and sleeping late part!

Glad you are having a great day.

Yikes about our poor Hogs, huh? Bummed me out a little, too.

It sounds like you had a great day. My team lost too. So sad but I didn't let it ruin my day either. Have a great Sunday.

I'm glad you didn't have t go through the misery of the ball game. If you can believe it, we are going to Austin. Are we trying to punish ourselves or what?

It was not a good day for the Razorbacks or the Aggies. But a good day for the Blases and the Sandusky's (Sanduskies?) so it's okay! My friend Jackie is reading "Trespassers will be Baptized," and loving it, too! I'll have to try to find it...

Oh, and being Cubbie director here is tiring, because they are 3 and 4, but not that big of a job because this church doesn't really do it the way they're "supposed to". Which probably makes it easier, but is challenging for a habitual rule-follower like myself. I'm working on it. :)

Your Saturday made me smile for you.

Let us know what you think about the book. I goggled the author - sounds very awesome to drop everything to travel for a year.

Sorry about the Razorbacks. We play each other next week...

I hope you and the Summit Sisters had a great time celebrating your amazing accomplishment!!

Yeah, My little man, Blake, finally gave up and turned the Razorback game off. He said it wasn't any fun to watch...so it might've been good that you couldn't find it on! LOL!

As for books, I've been reading up a storm lately. Just finished "Unpretty"...exceptionally good book and "Twilight"...I'm hooked, as my daughter told me I would be...and I'm currently reading the 2nd in that series, "New Moon."

Glad to see you guys had an awesome weekend!
