starting out tired...

It's Monday. And I'm feeling it.

We had a really great weekend. Nothing exciting, really, just a low-key weekend at home--my favorite kind.

I should feel rested and relaxed, no?

Sometime early, early on Sunday morning, John awoke to hear weird banging noises outside. After listening for a few minutes, he decided it sounded like it was coming from our basement. So, he woke me up and told me what was going on and that he was going downstairs to investigate. He might as well have told me he was going downstairs to get jumped by a gang of thieves.

Calm was not my immediate response.

Turns out it was nothing. Or at least he found nothing down there.

But I was WIDE AWAKE for the next three hours. I lay there terrified of every little sound, sure that it was an intruder in our house.

FINALLY, I fell back asleep for an hour or two before it was time to get up for church. We'd decided the night before to visit a church down the street...and their service was much earlier than I'm used to.

So...because I was so tired, I took a nap yesterday. I *love* naps on Sunday afternoon.

The three hour nap was great UNTIL I tried to fall asleep last night. Wide awake at 11pm. Ugh. Wide awake at 11:30. Ugh. Wide awake at midnight.

I'm starting my week with a tired body and mind. Definitely feels like Monday.

Our new church starts MUCH EARLIER than we're used to... been an adjustment.

Maybe you can take a quick cat nap this afternoon. :)

There it is again - "Calm was not my immediate response" - makes me laugh every time because that is so me. We are so alike - I would have been listening for every sound as well. Vivid imaginations can be a curse. ;o)

Hope you get a nap before you pick up Will today.

I am the SAME WAY today and I had a terrible time sleeping all weekend! It's hard for a Monday! Hope you get some great rest tonight!
(I decided that from now on if I'm just laying there awake and can't sleep, I am going to get up and work on my scrapbook!)

It's a Monday thing I suppose. It's recess week for me right now. So no Monday blues this week!

Oh I know what that's like. I also love naps but they mess up my night-time falling asleep so much that it's almost not worth it.

I hope you sleep well tonight and get back on track.

Oh I know that tired feeling oh so well...I haven't been sleeping good lately. What is it? Am I getting old?

How was the new church??
Hugs,
Fran

Honestly, I think we are living parallel lives.

I took a nap yesterday and was so grateful!

But when I got into bed last night at 10p and couldn't fall asleep until almost 1p, I wasn't so happy.

Today I have definitely felt Monday-ish. Tired and maybe (just maybe, I'm not admitting to anything) a little crabby.

I would've done the same thing. Sunday afternoon's are the only time I take naps. It's just been a habit since we were first married. Hope you can recuperate some and get some good sleep tonight!
God bless,
Brenda :)
