OCD? Me? Really?

I spent 10 minutes this morning on the phone with the Naval Observatory Clock (which gives updates to the second) and getting every. single. clock. in my house and car set to exactly the same time. My clocks have all been messed up since daylight savings time and it was beginning to drive me c-r-a-z-y.

So yeah, maybe just a tad obsessive-compulsive.

You still love me though, right?

Yes...we still love you. And we'll know who to call when the power goes off and we need to reset our clocks!

I still love you and am thankful for the laugh I just had in your honor. Thanks for that.

You should have called Kelly. He sets our clocks to Zulu time (which apparently has nothing to do with Africa). I set my alarm clock and car clock a few minutes fast...it makes him crazy. But he still loves me.

I'm the same way so don't feel bad. I hated when I was working an not one clock in the whole building was set right. They were all 5 minutes off from one clock to the other. Which really made taking a scheduled break hard.

Really???

My clock in my bedroom is thirteen minutes fast.

My kitchen clock is three minutes fast.

My oven clock is never in sync with my kitchen clock.

My car clock is two minutes slow.

My computer time is 3 minutes off my kitchen clock.

I never know what time it is.

I often quote a saying I came across in Reader's Digest:

I'm CDO--it's like OCD, only the letters are in alphabetical order, the way they should be. :)

Long live synchronized clocks!

You go, girl!

Our clocks are all a bit off from one another...I like to think of them as suggesting the hour of the day...

How funny~you should have documented with pics you going from clock to clock! I just turn on the TV-we have Dish- and set them all according to whatever the TV is telling me. Not nearly as accurate I'm sure:)

You need an atomic clock in your house, then set every clock around that one. Those are magical. They even set themselves!

I have to admit, I'm like carpool queen. There's never an EXACT time in my home (unless we look at cell phones...which we figure HAVE to be correct, right?)

The funniest thing, though...at work, my phone and computer show the time. No matter how much I sync them, the computer always ends up 10 minutes off from the phone (which is correct). I guess there's a time warp in that 12 inches of space. Finally, I turned the clock display off on the computer to keep my sanity.

I DIDN"t know you could do this...what's the number?

;)

I wouldn't say OCD. I would say its a passion for excellence.

Gretch was cracking me up at "suggesting" the hour!

I tend to think my cell phone has the most accurate time and nary a clock in my house has the same time on it...except for maybe the oven and microwave..so, you definitely have a passion for punctuality and of course, to quote Dolly "and I a I a I will always love yoooouu!"

I set all my house clocks (and the one in the van) exactly 5 minutes ahead.

And we're still late. Go figure.

What I was actually thinking while I was reading was...

WHY HAVEN'T I DONE THAT??!!

We can be OCD together...

That drives me crazy too. I set our clocks on our phone automatic clock. Probably not 100% accurate but still... :)

All the clocks in my house are set differently, and I get highly confused ALL THE TIME. But I would have never have thought to call the clock gods. You are so resourceful, Mer!

Hope some good-for-nuthin' fool don't come 'round and switch 'em all just to drive you c-r-a-z-y...you'd still lurve such a man, right?

John's comment totally cracked me up!

I was thinking the same thing as Cathy - "Why haven't I done that before?!"

I just re-set the clocks in the kitchen the other day b/c when the power went out while the kids and I were traveling for Spring break my man "guestimated" the time...we were late the first day back to school...UGH.

I actually like this idea~ It drives me crazy to be in one room and see the time and go into another room and it be totally off!

I didn't even know such a thing existed. You learn something new everyday.

I have to set my clocks ahead so that I'm not too late places. It gets me mooooving!
