PJ Day

Just checking in quickly to say good morning.

I've unexpectedly found myself with a day at home and I couldn't be happier. I'm home today with "Sunflower", my youngest daughter who has some serious allergy stuff going on. I'm pumping both of us full of Emergen-C and hoping we feel better soon. (I have a really, really sore throat).

I'm still in my pjs because my sweet friend, Molly, took Sarah to choir for me this morning. Yay for pjs and yay for Molly!

I don't know if it's just me, but I work best when I'm in my pjs. If I can get up and get the laundry going and get in my cleaning groove, I can maintain the momentum. If I stop and get dressed, I lose it. If I'm gone for the morning, I have a really hard time getting in a groove in the afternoon. I occasionally find my afternoon groove, but it seems to take a lot more effort to overcome my inertia. Anyone else like that?

I'm actually thinking about unplugging for the rest of the day because I have SO much that I need to get done around here. The girls don't have school Friday (it's a mystery to me why they're out THIS Friday and not last Friday) and tomorrow I'm going with Sarah to a school competition she's in. That means I have today to get my "stuff" done, and since I'm still in my pjs and all...

*4PM UPDATE: Plugged back in (man, you guys love staying in pjs too!) because I got four loads of laundry done, mopped the floors, re-cleaned the bathrooms, vacuumed, dusted, windexed (yes, it's a verb), planned menus, got dinner ready, cleaned the inside of my van, AND kept Sunflower aka DIVAgirl happy. I did change out of my pjs when I went to get Will from school (he would die of embarrassment if I picked him up in pjs) but I still haven't showered. I also did not wash the outside of my van because guess what's in the forecast for the next three days?

I love stayin' in my Jammies!!!

I must put on a bra to work but stay in them just the same!! ;) TMI?

Hope you and Sunflower don't get any worse and "better" is just a day away!

I work best in pj's...I don't know why. And if something doesn't get done before 12:30? Most likely isn't going to get done the rest of the day.

Hope everyone gets to feeling better!

I'm like that....once I leave the house, then coming home and doing much of anything isn't going to happen!

I love the nickname "sunflower" because it is our state flower here in Kansas and there is nothing friendlier or more happy than a field of them blowing in the KS breeze.
I either have to get it done (housework) in the morning or I'm ruined for the day and if I turn the t.v. on for company...it's all over. I hate that and I'm the worst about starting something and not finishing...but that only applies to housework. Ugh.
Our allergies are so bad here right now. Too many farmers burning their fields.

I'm joining you in the sickie world w/ my 2 youngest.

...unfortunately I don't get to stay in PJs today! We have no food! Grocery shopping and sick kids = fun?

Feel better soon!

Allergies somethin' fierce here, too.

Yay for p.j. day! Point of fact in your camp: I painted all last Saturday in my p.j.s. Ruined a pair (old) of p.j.s, but got a lot of painting done. And I'm like CPQ--if it's not done by 12:30 or 1, it's not getting done. However, on rare occasions, I will get the cleaning bug at night, right at about 10 when D is gone and I really want to wake up to a clean house.

I'm just the opposite... I don't get much done when I'm in my PJ's... I have to get dressed to think it's "work time"! Hope everyone gets to feeling better quickly!

PJ days are the BEST!! I agree I work better when I just GO- not stop to get ready. I am just glad that Sarah had Molly to take her to school. I have already said I WILL not be the mom in her PJ's and sponge rollers driving up to the school with the forgotten lunch box!! hahaha
Get to feeling better!!
P.S. Loved the Easter Pics of the kids.

I am sooo happy to see that I am not the only one with that hang up!
I have always felt like I was so undisciplined in that way!
I am always telling Corey that I don't like to do anything in the morning before I get my "morning stuff" (cleaning, laundry, etc.) done. I know myself well enough to know that if I run an errand, etc., then more than likely, the usual "morning stuff" won't get done that day!

Yea! I feel better now! :)

Still in Pjs here too. Have a massive headache today. However, I am completely opposite....no real clothes=no real work.

Good thing I spent the last two days cleaning!

Hope you and Sunflower feel better!

Exact opposite. If I stay in my PJs, I sit and sip coffee waaaay too long and the laundry doesn't get done. I need to get dressed in the mornings, STAT.

(Although, does the laundry ever get done? Don't answer that.)

Hope you and your PJs feel great tomorrow... and that all your tasks get done ...

I'm a pj girl too. I like to stay in them until my chores are done. Of course, it's a problem if you have drop in company at noon. :)

Hope you guys are feeling better.

Is is terrible that I am reading this at 4:30 PM and I am still in my pajamas? And that this is NOT unusual?

I'm like you in that I get more done in my jammies-but only if I have coffee to go with it. I like to pretend everyday is a coffee/pajama day!

I love pj days. Maybe a little bit too much. And I seriously attached to my bedroom slippers. I'm really afraid I'm actually going to wear them 'out' one day. Hope everyone's feeling better tomorrow...and try to enjoy the snow.

I don't work well until I've had my shower...Although I didn't shower until 4:30 today I did get some things done.

I honestly think I could go for days not leaving the house, and changing from one set of pjs to another. I'm glad you had a homebound day with one of your girls today!

And look at all you accomplished! I want to give you a big cheer and standing O!

I sense more snow coming up!

Congratulations! You've really accomplished a lot! (:

Oh yes! I love PJ days! :) I have to tell on myself though. The other morning when I got up to get the kid's ready for school I looked at the clock wrong and had to rush them out to the car. I realized I still had on my pj's.......no jacket or anything! So I dropped them off thru the car rider line in my pj's! I was hoping that they wouldn't open the door for them! LOL My kid's were in tears laughing at me! LOL
