"D" list

John was out of town earlier this month and he teased me one day on the phone that I was probably not missing him at all with my double D's to keep me company--Draper & Dyson. It was funny at the time because I was really into season 4 of Mad Men (Don Draper is the leading male character and he's very handsome) and I was doing some heavy duty spring cleaning with my Dyson (true love).

John's quippy comment made me begin thinking of other things I love that start with the letter "D".

While I'd really love to share some of the DRAMA that played out at my house yesterday, it's not completely my story to tell so here's my D list instead.

Don Draper (dreamy)

My Dyson (bought on sale, with a coupon, AND got Kohl's cash too--BOOYAH!)

Daffodils, Daisies, and Dogwood trees (minus the pollen, of course)

Determination

Dreary Days (but only every once in awhile)

Mr. Darcy

Date nights!

Dallas (John and I lived there as newlyweds)

December

Dinner with my peeps around my table

David Crowder Band

Denver

Diet Coke (after almost four years of no aspartame, I caved and now I'm addicted again)(sigh)

Debbie, Dawn, Dana, DeeDee, Deena, Deidre, and all my other friends whose names begin with D!

What's not on my "D" list, you ask?
Drama (especially of the girl variety)
Dog food (the smell makes me gag)
Dora the Explorer's voice
Dusting
Dark chocolate (or any kind of chocolate for that matter)
Dieting

Ha! We're watching Dora right now, I love dark chocolate, but I'm dieting right now so I'm not eating it much. Girl drama=exhausting. Hate dusting but I love Diet Coke. And Denver is the place I'd most like to live. So see, we have something in common!

what a great list...I agree with some of your loves (Date Nights, Dinner at the table, David Crowder Band, Daffodils, Daisies) and I agree with most of your dislikes (Drama, Dog food, Dora's voice, dusting) But I am dieting (using Weight Watchers) and I like Dark Chocolate (it feeds my chocolate need in small pieces)

I just had to tell 4 girls on Tuesday that I was no longer in the mood for drama and if it continued I was going to put them in the 4 corners of the house. GRRRR.
And, I already know that the key to your heart is a big bag of Hot Tamales.

Yes, Mr. Darcy, Date nights + Dallas. I love Dark Chocolate! Don Draper...he's cute, but not so much. Oh, my Dog....love her.

I'm thinking I need a Dyson. I go through vacuum cleaners like you wouldn't believe. Are they really that great?

Girl drama and Dora's would totally be on my 'dislike' list, too :)

I'm mady in love with my purple Dyson!

I need some book suggestions, I'm desperate for some good books.

I just picked up Water for Elephants, hope it is decent.

Can you suggest any good ones? I have loved all the books you suggested over time.

Have you read Unbroken? Great book!

That's exactly how I bought my Dyson....Kohl's 30% off coupon and got Kohl's cash with it. But not liking dark chocolate, that's just blasphemy. :-)
