May Madness

I always forget how crazy the last week of school feels. Forget March Madness. May Madness is WAY more appropriate.

But...

in the midst of all this craziness, I find myself with a day at home. Shhh...don't tell anyone or they might ask me to do something!

I need to finish up the laundry, clean bathrooms, and mop the kitchen floor. After I check those three things off my list, then I intend to take it easy, and I may even start one of the books on my summer reading list. Bliss.

*randomness begins here*

This morning as I was dropping the kids off at school, Abbey spotted her best little friend up ahead of us. Abbey bolted out of the van and ran to catch up with her. I saw her friend turn around and smile her sweet smile. They both hugged, then walked hand in hand up the sidewalk. Man, that just melted my heart!

This picture makes me smile.

It's the girls looking at their yearbook on the day it came home. The smiles on their faces make all the work involved in "birthing" this book totally worth it!

I was glad Kristi Yamaguchi won DWTS last night. I slept through most of it (a late-evening nap!) and woke up to see the last 10 minutes. Perfect timing. I only cared about the results, and I had NO idea I'd have to wait until 10pm!

I love the randomness... hope your day home is full of yahooo checking things off the list and then relaxing!

Naughty girl that I am, I looked up the results on Yahoo--we had to wait to 11 being on the West Coast. I never will get over the TV change to an hour later. I'm glad Kristi won. I also love the cameraderie on the show. I really think they are all quite friendly to one another.

I hope David Cook wins tonight on AI, but I'd be nearly as happy for Archie. Don't tell me you don't watch it now... ;)

Cute picture of the girls, and I"m so happy that the yearbook is done for you! Woo hoo!

Ok, that story about your daughter and her friend got me all teary-eyed! I love that pic of your girls reading their yearbook. I remember that was always the funnest time at school. I'm glad Kristi won DWTS, too.

Woo Hoo! I was so glad that Kristi won. Somehow my TV was off by 1/2 hour and the kids were watching in their room (they were supposed to be asleep!). They came in all excited and I learned that it was between Jason and Kristi. Who knew! LOL

I'd love to know more about the yearbook. Our kids elementary school does it and it costs $20 or $25. I would much prefer a cheaper yearbook so more could enjoy. At one school that I taught middle school, the yearbooks were like these and were $10 pre-ordered or $13 when they come in. Cool!

Love that picture of the girls!

Yay! A day on your own before a summer with a full house. I love both things! But I am so looking forward to a few weeks with the kids. I know you are too!

Happy Thursday!

Sounds like a glorious day. What are you reading, by the way? (Or did I miss that on a previous post?) I'd love some great book recommendations.

Love that picture of your girls looking at the yearbook. My son always wants to look at his cover to cover the day he brings it home.
