A Perfect Day

I got to go with Sarah's class on a field trip today. It's the field trip I look forward to all year long...

We went to a Sky Sox baseball game. It was Math Day at Security Service Field, and hundreds of students were there to take in the game. They get away with calling it Math Day by asking some (hard) math questions in between innings. I was very happy that the teachers in our group didn't pass out paper and pencils (like they did last year) and ask us to solve the problems. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned a time or two that math makes my head hurt. They let us watch and enjoy the game, and it was a good game indeed. The Sky Sox won!

I love baseball games. And I love being outside. I also love spending time with one of my favorite girls!

Despite my sunburn, and the fact that I'm bone-tired, today was a perfect day!!!

That is so crazy you all did that this week--we took our 6th graders to see the Arkansas Travelers last week and it was so much fun. It was the first time we had been able to get ourselves on the list early enough to get to go to the game. Ours was Tobacco Awareness and they showed commercials and videos about not smoking through out the game. They also played Sponge Bob Square Pants 7 or 8 times during the game :) Imagine 10,700 kids yelling Sponge Bob Square Pants !!!! It was a very fun day for them and the teachers as well. Glad you are able to enjoy time with your baby girl.

Ok, for me, the perfect baseball game is the one my dad takes my kids to so I can stay home with my honey! Hahahahaha. Like tonight. We're on a "working date". We had grown up dinner with our only "couples" friends and now Honey is drawing up design plans for thier house remodel. My dad has my kids- they went to a highschool baseball game.

So fun, Mer. I haven't been to an SS game in years!

Love the tie-dyed shirts, too.

That's what we call a frame-er in this neck of the woods! Darling!

Glad you had the perfect day. And just think of that sunburn as the perfect little reminder. :)

Is is wrong that I'm jealous of the sunburn?

I agree -- baseball is best outdoors. The Minnesota Twins play indoors. Which is why I've only gone to one game the entire time I've lived here. BORING!
