Oh, and did I mention I love coffee now?

I've never really loved coffee. I'm more of a chai kinda girl. I'll drink coffee, but it's just never really done anything for me. Until a few days ago. Now I love it.

Sounds weird, I know, but I'm being serious. I love it.

Maybe it's because I've been watching too much Gilmore Girls (those Gilmores love their coffee) or maybe it's because we got a new coffee maker last week. Maybe it's because it's freezing cold here every single morning when I wake up and the coffee is ready to go whereas I have to wait so long for the tea kettle to whistle and the chai to steep. Maybe it's because John bought some rockin' coffee, or maybe it's because of that pumpkin spice creamer that was calling my name at the grocery store. Don't know. But I'm lovin' it and craving it. If it weren't 10:15 right now, I'd probably go make a pot, but I'll pass because I'd actually like to sleep tonight.

On a somewhat related note--I laugh almost every time I say "pot of coffee" because back in the day when John was a pastor, he goofed up his consonants during one particular sermon and said "cof of potty". It was a small Wednesday night crew and we were all in stitches. I have no idea why he was talking about coffee during his message, but it was very funny. He had a couple of other slips that were quite humorous as well...I should ask him tell about one of the more memorable ones. Any of you Arkadelphia friends remember???

i used to like nothing about coffee but the smell. however, in recent years, i've acquired a taste for it...doctored is best of course: flavored creamer, sugar, etc. lately i've been enjoying it iced.

glad you're back in the blog world. i missed you!

Ah, Mer...join me on the dark side of aromatic, caffeinated, breath-ruining goodness from the earth.

As much as I lurrve the essence of the bean, however, I will not, will NOT be imbibing in the Thai delicacy of coffee beans which were eaten, pooped out of a monkey and ground for my pleasure. Can't do it.

Welcome to the world of coffee! Neither my husband or I liked coffee at all (VERY strange for someone in RI!!!), until one night. We were out shopping and a store was giving away some free samples. It was cold, and smelled good, and we tasted. Both of us have been hooked ever since. It was like a switch. We'd tried to like and just didn't...until that night. Let's just way, we bought some and came home for a cup--and didn't sleep! We never gave the caffeine a thought...

Enjoy!

That's SO good to know, because I've got something to send you! And nothing but coffee will do at that place:) Well, maybe coffee and a pumpkin bar.

I didn't learn to drink coffee until just a few years ago. My husband has drunk it since he was in the military, starting at age 18. He only drinks black, and I'll only drink it if it's light brown, LOL! Lots of splenda and creamer. I'm not fond of the pumpkin spice, but I love Coffeemates other seasonal ones, especially gingerbread.

What kind of "rockin' coffee" did your hubby find? Do tell :)

I am a coffee girl too! How much do you watch Gilmore Girls? I've watched it for 4 years just start with season 1 and head through till the end. I have to say I love the first three seasons way more! But I love the whole coffee thing! My blog title is Oiy with the poodles which I think is a line from season three.
No I am not crazy, I just like them and I think its so cool you do too! Coffee is the best. Tiff

Love me some coffee. I would absolutely die without it. Ok, that might be extreme. I'd get one bad headache though. :)

Welcome to the family!
Hugs.

I keep hearing about this pumpkin spice creamer, and am so tempted to run out and get some. I LOVE coffee, and once upon a time I was absolutely addicted, but when I got pregnant, I stopped drinking it and never went back. Sometimes I miss it sooo much.

And "cof of potty"...too funny!

I am a pretty recent convert myself, Mer. All thanks to flavored creamer...

I tried it once at an early morning meeting...and I was hooked..we even have regular for the morning pot and decaf in case we want an evening pot...

My fave creamer?? Southern Butter Pecan...and I only put the creamer in, nothing extra...there's a new mint chocolate truffle out for the holidays too, that sounds divine!

My next purchase (a reward for being without my sweetie) a coffee pot with a timer!

My dad always messes up sayings or gets things out of order from the pulpit. I think every Sunday at lunch we laughed about something silly he had said.

Now I'm craving coffee...

Welcome to the dark side, coffee convert!

The funny thing I remember about John was the time that he was using Eminem as an example and kept calling him something that sounded suspiciously like "enema." I thought it was hilarious until I realized I was the only one who even knew who Eminem was which made me worry about myself.

I am so glad you have joined the coffee club! I am going to have to try the pumpkin spice creamer.

I have been meaning to start watch the dvds of the Gilmore Girls. I watched the first season in re-runs and was loving it. The day the season finale was suppose to air they showed season 4 instead. I was so mad!

So what kind of coffee did John bring home??
