Growing more limber by the minute...

Hi friends.

Remember my post about not being very limber?

Yeah, well, I'm on the fast track for learning to bend.

I'm flying to St. Louis this afternoon for my dad's surgery. It got bumped up to tomorrow.

We learned that while en route to Arkansas for Thanksgiving, and turned the van around and drove home so I could get things squared away to leave today.

Yesterday, the one inch of snow we were supposed to get turned into fourteen and today schools are closed (not in the plan) and my ride to the airport fell through (not in the plan) and I'm having to bend in all sorts of ways I didn't expect.

Thankfully things have worked out beautifully. My husband and my neighbors have been exceedingly gracious with their time. I'm so grateful.

So...I'm leaving for the airport in a little while. I'd appreciate your prayers for my dad, my husband, and my children this week! It's hard for me to leave my little family, but we all feel that I need to be there with my dad.

Gracias, amigas...from your very pliable, bendable, LIMBER friend!

PS--I'm not taking the laptop...but I'll update when I can.  I did, however, schedule some posts so that you won't miss me too much in my absence.  *wink wink*

Meredith,
So sorry to hear about all the problems with your travel plans. I'll be checking back to see how things are going.
I'll add your dad to my prayer list and you and your family as well.

Blessings to you,
Dawn

Your "limber-ness" (is that a word?) is impressive girl! You are a work in progress.

I will be praying for strength and peace for you, and wisdom for the Dr's and healing and comfort for your dad.

i'm glad i don't have to *miss* you this week!

Blessings.

Where do I start? I have been on somewhat of a blogging break lately, so I just read all of your posts since Thanksgiving ;).

*Most importantly, I will be praying for you and your family this week. I hope the surgery goes well and that your family does well while you are gone.

*I love that poem from Carrie's mom. What a great little way to teach your kiddos the difference between want and need. Even more so I love the tradition of unwrapping Baby Jesus.

*Wow...what a lot of beautiful snow! I think our town would shut down if we had that much snow. On the other hand my husband would be elated for snow/school days.

*I am going to start calling you Mrs. Limber ;)!

Be safe Meredith and send our prayers to your dad!

Yes, I will DEFINITELY be lifting you up!!!

I'm proud of you for learning to be limber...isn't it great how we are given opportunities to practice the very thing we say we're not...God is very clever, isn't He??? ;)

Will miss you!!

I am so proud of your limberness! When God starts working He really works, doesn't he? I have a sign in my kitchen that says, "Blessed are the flexible for they shall be not be bent out of shape."

I'm praying!! And trying not to be jealous of your snow. Even NW AR had snow yesterday. Not a flake one here. What's up with that?!

I've been thinking of you with all the snow.

Praying for safe travels and as good news as possible regarding your dad. A cure would be fine.

Deep breaths, and don't worry about your family. It will be special time for them with their dad.

Praying for you, Mer. Also think you should get a massage when you get back. All of this flexibility is bound to make you sore!
