Saturday Happies...

Just a few things that have made me happy today...

Sleeping in! 7AM is much, much better than 6AM, don't ya think?

Fried eggs for breakfast. John is the BEST egg fryer in this house. He even made one for Jack-the-beagle and not just because we're all being a little nicer to Jack after watching Marley & Me. He actually makes Jack a fried egg every Saturday. (Sugar daddy.)

Coffee, coffee, coffee, and ginger peach green tea with honey. I'm a hopeless caffeine addict.

The girls playing together all day long. I haven't heard one mean word from either of them (rare!) and that makes me SO happy. And grateful.

Snow. Yup, I said I was happy about snow. It's been snowing since I woke up, but it's super fine snow and they down-graded our "blizzard" to a mere 3-6 inches. I can live with that.

Listening to Will practice his trumpet.

A short nap!

Blue Sky creamy root beer. YUM!

Staying home all day! I took a shower and put my pjs right back on. (Bliss!)

John and I sitting side by side on our bed working on our laptops. He's been working on some freelance stuff. I've been working on my volunteer project. I think he got more done than I did. I got sucked into Twitter.

John wearing his Harry Potter toboggan. In the house. All day long. (Maybe it's magically keeping him warm.)

Making cupcakes with the girls.

Potato soup for dinner!

And maybe another movie night. It must be something funny this time. Marley & Me had us all sobbing last night. What a tear-jerker.

Marley and me wrecked me for days. And I'm not even a dog person (although I'm crazy about my beagle, who would LOVE a fried egg, please).

glad you're having a good day too... i heart saturdays!

Have you seen that gumball movie? I can't recall the name off hand. Or Bolt? My kiddos want to see them both.

Oh, and you are on Twitter? I heard it the other day on some show and talking about 'tweeting'. LOL

Oh I just love Marley&Me. When I saw it I already knew the ending and still bawled like a baby. My very favorite thing about the movie was Jennifer Aniston's character. . . I could really identify with her through the stages in her life . . newly married, spontaneous, full of life and energy . . . baby #2 and 3 comes and ill and mad all the time . . . then the kids are a little older and life is the best it's ever been (that's where I am now). I just LOVED her character!

I loved fried eggs with the yolk runny and sopping it up with toast (this may be a Southern thing like sweet tea . . . not sure though).

I'm so glad you've had such a great Saturday. I hope you have an even better Sunday!

Oh, a good fried egg! My dad makes the best. And sopping it up with toast. Thanks, Michele and Mer, now I'm craving a good fried egg (that I didn't make myself).

What brand of ginger peach green tea, or have you addressed that here already and I forgot? If I did, forgive me. And I've got to look for Blue Sky creamy root beer. I LOVE root beer. Would TJ's or Whole Foods have it?

I'm scared to see the movie. I told you the book made me snot all over myself. We had a black lab. He was one of our two practice children. I miss him so much.

Hope this comment wasn't too "wordy" for you. ;)

what a great day! HEAVEN to take a shower and get back into pjs!

oh and if you're looking for funny DON'T get "The Boy in the Striped Pajammas". So sad. But good. It would be an appropriate movie about the Holocaust for my kids to see (in a few years).

...it's what we watched last night. maybe we'll try for Marley and Me tonight:)

That Saturday would make me happy, too! I'm all about getting back in my pj's all day, fried eggs, and homemade potato soup. Yummm!!!

I LOVED Marley and Me so much I ended up buying it. It WAS sad, though!!

Glad you had a fun day! :)

What a wonderful day! Thank you for sharing it has made me happy too!! I almost bought Marley and Me while at the store earlier this week. We're going to Netflix it...last night DK watched Twilight with me. It was his first plunge into vampirehood!

Takin' me back to my youth...My grum would always fry us eggs and bacon for breakfast on the weekends. She took great joy in making breakfast, and I always took joy in eating it. It's still my favorite meal of the day. She'd make the dogs eggs on occasion, too.

Dueling laptops, jammies all day, and no sibling squabbles? Happy, indeed.

What a delightful day. I love to cut my fried eggs up into tiny tiny pieces and then put them on toast. Why I am telling you, I have no idea.

And I napped for a long time, and everyone was happier for it.

So funny..we rented Marley and Me last night too...and I was a total sobbing idiot. What a great movie and my Mother in law says the book was even better. I may have to read it even knowing the ending. Tonight we are watching Quantum of Solace but I am only half into it and so can't tell what James Bond is up to at any given time.
I'm glad you had a good day...I love lazy Saturdays.

Too cool! We had a relaxing day as well. And we also watched Marley and Me. Hubby was ticked cuz it made him cry lol! He was expecting comedy through the entire movie. Not what we expected but was a good movie no less!

Dear Mer, 7 AM sounds like torture. LOL.

My sisters have seen Marley & Me a ridiculous amount of times. They finally bought the dvd. I personally think it's too sad to watch that much. (They are total animal lovers.)

I stayed in my pjs all day until I had to be out tonight. But I felt grumpy all day so I probably should have opted for clothes.

Those are ALL happy things! I cannot fry a decent egg for the life of me. Maybe I need lessons from John!

I was going to Tweet a warning to you about Marley and Me... but figured you'd find out soon enough. Ha! Jack will be glad you watched.

Jealous that your Saturday was so lazy and slow....mine was b.u.s.y.

What? No picture of Harry Potter? That is almost too cruel to mention and then leave us hanging.

And Marley and Me? *sniff*

It still blows my mind that while you were experiencing a blizzard on Palm Sunday we were basking the sun and breeze. You are such a trooper...truly!!!

I am not sure if you know this or not, but I am the Volunteer Coordinator for our county's Habitat for Humanity. Trust me, I totally understand the joys and trials of coordinating projects. You will do fantastical!!!!
