It's May...

I've been singing this song from Camelot all morning (I'm a sucker for old musicals). I've changed the lyrics up a bit though.

It's May, it's May, the snowy first of May...

Ugh.

This is what it looked like before we left for school this morning. (Sarah is missing because she had an early Student Council meeting.)

This is what it looked like an hour later.

We have at least an inch of snow on the ground, and it's still coming down hard.

Lovely.

Yeah, I'm complaining. (Sorry, Amber.)

Yesterday was a beautiful day. It was about 75 degrees with sunshine and brilliant blue skies. I spent most of the day outside! It was so nice yesterday that Holly and I sat outside and talked over a cup of coffee. Later, while Abbey and I were out running some errands and we stopped and fed the ducks and geese at the library. I even got a little bit of a sunburn!

And today--THIS! (And a sweater, hat, and a coat).

The good thing is that I'm meeting my sweet friend, A, at the teahouse this afternoon. Days like this are perfect for enjoying a hot cup of tea with a good friend.

Happy May to you!

I was just innocently reading along, looking at the pictures and sighing, when I saw your apology smack dab in the middle of your post! TOTALLY CRACKED ME ALL THE WAY UP! OUT LOUD! SO FUNNY!

I wish we could just trade climates for a week. Today is beautiful! sending a little sunshine your way ;)

Well, I only like snow when I have to drive to get to it- not when it's right outside my door.
And any day is a good day for tea- or coffee for those of us in the Pacific Northwest- with a girlfriend!

I thought of you the second my mom called this morning, out on her walk (she never misses a day), saying "I'm walking in the snow!"

Drat!

Hope it's nice when we're there in 2 weeks!

Oh, I know how you feel, Meridith! Just be encouraged...won't be long! We're at 7000 ft. as well. So unpredictable.
God bless,
Brenda :0

Mer,

My mom wrote to say it was snowing there. I commiserated because they're calling for it here tomorrow!

P.S. Thanks a lot--now I have Camelot running in my already overloaded head. ;)

I was so jealous of your snow this winter but I could not stand snow in May. That's so unnatural. It's 65 here today and I think it's WAY TOO COLD. I'm ready for the hot, humid days of summer!!!
