10 minutes...

I'm giving myself ten minutes to ramble.

You might think that I'm going with a 10s theme after yesterday. Not so. Ten minutes is all the time I have before I have to take Abbey to school. Sarah had to be there early for choir and it was my day to drive carpool so now I have this weird block of time before I do it all over again.

I did something today I've NEVER done before. I drove the kids to school in my pjs. Interesting.

Back to that ten theme. THANK YOU, thank you, thank you to those who played along with my idea yesterday! I loved reading all of your posts. Ya'll are clever with the lists! Very fun stuff. I'm already looking forward to next month.

I've been in major scrapbook mode this week. I haven't completed a single page, but I've sorted photos, organized all my supplies, and gathered page ideas for my retreat this weekend. I'm hoping to be super-productive since I haven't done any scrapbooking since last summer! Ginger asked me to post pics of some of my pages...and I WILL next week. I'm the queen of simple pages though so don't expect anything amazing.

So many of you guys commented on my pics from my 10 on the 10th post. Monday was a BEAUTIFUL day here, but yesterday was snowy and cold. I checked the weather when I got up this morning. 10 degrees! (I cannot get away from the 10s can I?) And a chance of snow every day thru Sunday. YUCK! I'm ready for spring. I love where I live, but it gets depressing this time of year because things are still so brown and March/April are our snowiest months.

I'm counting down until Spring Break. It starts for us next Thursday afternoon at 4pm. I cannot wait. Especially because John and I are going to do something FUN and ALONE. More about that later...

One reason I'm so excited for spring break is because I just feel so busy lately. I'm not normally busy. But last week and this week have been very fast-paced, and I'm not a fast-paced kind of girl. I like slow and lazy. I'm very ready for a week of that!

I have a million more things rambling around in my head, but my ten minutes are up and I wouldn't want the girl to be late for school. (The ONLY times my kids have ever been tardy were when I was pulled over by a policeman on the way to school. It's happened TWICE and they never let me forget it either.)

Hope your Wednesday is a happy one!

I'll have to participate in "10 on the 10th" next month because last night I sat down to TRY to put it together and, lo and behold, it was 12:05am on THE 11TH!! ...AND I still had bloggers block.:) What's the deal with that?

...I've totally done wearing pajamas taking the kids to school, sure hope none of my neighbors were looking out their windows when I was getting in the car...

I would wear pj's if I could, but I'm always the one running down the sidewalk saying "You forgot your lunch box/sweater/money/project/head", so, dress I must.

The more I get to know you the more I realize we couldn't be any more alike or any more different. It's funny. Never drove the kids to your school in your PJs? Only time kids were tardy were when you were pulled over on the way? Hmm...not so much alike?

Love slow schedules and being at home? I could nest right with you.

I find opposites/just alikes almost every time you blog. Too fun!

You're my exact opposite identical twin!

Yeah, about being late for school... there is no excuse when you share a fence with the school- but it still happens.

It has been cold here, too. Even snowing off and on- but there's nothing on the ground and it is mostly sunny, so that makes me happy.

YES! Yesterday was great and I loved reading everyone else's posts too!

10 is a good number by the way...biblically it means order and completeness...so, if there's on to "stick" with it's a good one! ;)

Can't wait to see your pages (we've discussed this before) and MAN, I wish I were going on your retreat!! That would be soo fun! Hope you get lots done!

Sorry I didn't get to participate, but I'm definitely in for next month. I got a call last night from my Dad saying my Papa was in the hospital.. . hasn't been a good month for us.

I am so very jealous of your scrapbook retreat. I just got some pictures in that I plan to start scrapping soon. I hope you are super-productive, and I can't wait to see your pages. Happy Wednesday!!

P.S. Everytime I take my kids to homeschool school on Tues. I ALWAYS have my PJs on with no makeup, then when I pick them up I'm all ready. . . I know the ladies who see me in the morning must think, "I know that lady is glad for makeup, hair products, and cute clothes."

Well, I drove my dtr off to school with a wet head. She, of course, looked fine because I spent my getting ready time working on her hair for "crazy hair day". We curled on side, flat-ironed the other, and painted red on her straight bangs. Quite a project. So, you see, I was lucky to get in and wash the stink off.

Anyhoo...we have speed traps at several points on the way to school, so she's going to be late before I go broke. But normally, i find the speed limit to be just a suggestion.

We still have snow on the ground, but on the upside, it's blue skies and sunny, so at least we're getting a hit of Vitamin D.

I had my teeth cleaned this morning, and I'm rewarding myself by going to my b'day massage today.

squeal.

That sounds like how my week is going to be next week. Logan has his first school play next week and I'm trying to get 3 costumes ready and get stuff ready for a consignment sale next week.

Hope you guys have a good time spring break! I'm looking forward to it too. Amber and I are taking the kiddos just up north of the border....we're crazy I know but so looking forward to it!

If I'm off work, I always drive the kids to school in jammies....but it seems to never fail that I usually end up having to get out of the car for something. Oh well. I'm not ashamed of my Tinker Bell britches!

Spring Break cannot come fast enough!!!!! :)

I need to do some scrapbook organizing and I can't manage it. LOL I look at the pictures (all neatly placed in two drawers) and then I close the drawer. LOL My neighbor wants me to go to a Beach retreat in September to crop for 2-1/2 days. I'm not usuall a retreat type cropper, but it is starting to appeal to me. Have you gone on retreats before? What do you think??

I ALWAYS drive them in my pj's! I try to at least slip on crocs in case I have to get out.
I have a shelf of pictures waiting to go into albums (not even scrapbooking them just putting them in) that has sat for over 3 years! I dust them off every now and then. I'm going digital, even those albums are a mess and behind, at least I can't see them and don't have to dust them! I comfort myself with "when I'm an empty nester I'll have all the time in the world to do this" (and probably cry over all the pics)!
