It's 3:15pm (tick tock tick tock)

Spring Break officially begins in 45 minutes when my girls get home from school. I just picked up Will and took took him to McDonalds for a celebratory shake. We are both ecstatic! I've gotta think of something fun to do for the girls. Probably another trip to MickeyD's.

Anyway, it's 3:15pm. I've been running ALL DAY LONG and still haven't showered. That wasn't my plan, but I had to be somewhere much earlier than normal and I've felt a step or two behind ever since.

On days like this, I'm thankful for my ballcap(s)...one of the most practical accessories I own.

It covers a multitude of hair woes. I seriously could not live without a ballcap. I don't think that anyone in Abbey's preschool class ever knew what I looked like without one! Life is Good caps are my favorite because they seem to fit my head and they're made specifically for women. Men's caps DO NOT FIT my little head.

I've had this red one for years. It's my go-to cap on mornings I'm feeling rushed and don't have time to get fully ready before I have to go somewhere (most mornings I take the kids to school and then come home and shower).

I also love this green one.
I love this pink one too, but don't wear it very often because I don't look great in pink...and therefore I don't have much that matches it. If I end up wearing a cap because I can't get myself together, I at least feel like it's important to match.
I like Life is Good stuff so much that my kids each have a cap too. I love Sarah's...the blue one in the middle. If you can't read what it says, click on the pic to enlarge your view. Cute, huh?
Well, I started out talking about spring break and ended up talking about caps. I think that is a good indication that it's time to end this post. It's also time to go get in the pick up line! I am so giddy!!!!!!! And I am SO sleeping in tomorrow!

Spring Break is Good. Oh, so good. And I own several LIG tshirts, and the pink cap with the daisy will be my next purchase.

I'm excited for ya!

Ok, here is something you and I don't have a like. I have a HUGE head, and don't wear hats very well. But I like them. Maybe I should try a Life is Good one. Hope your first evening of spring break is awesome.

Those caps are adorable! I have always loved LIG stuff. I found a bunch at TJ Maxx and Marshall's before Christmas. Have a great week!

yay for a mom who does special treats at mcdonalds.

I lurve life is good stuff. My local TJ Maxx carries a lot of it. Unfortunately, some of the colors aren't the greatest (shirts) on me, but I heart the logos.

yay for spring break! I hope we have some spring weather for you when you visit.

Have you told your kids you're sleeping in? Because knowing kids they'll probably wake up at the crack of dawn. They're asleep when you need them awake and awake when you need them asleep!

And your hats are cute! I've never seen that brand. I used to do hats a lot until I cut my hair short. Doesn't look good on me anymore without a ponytail bobbing out the back.

I love my gap ballcap. It's the only one I own other than a plain white one from WM...

I keep wanting a Life is Good t-shirt...they have some REALLY cute logos on them...

I love the one that (well, I think it's a mens shirt) says "Happy Hour" and it's a guy and his dog w/ a cup of joe?! Or something like that..

Hope y'all really have a great week!!

Cute hats!! And Yeah for spring break! I'm afraid we've taken so much time off (like all of last week) that we don't get an organized spring break this year. Joel keeps reminding me that next year we have to be much more disciplined about having school each day. Um..ok. In the meantime, the boy has learned to read, count to 100 and can write his name. I declare this school year a success! :)

I'm so glad you posted this, Mer! I was just thinking about my lack of hats this week. I haven't had one I liked since college (!) and I don't have a clue what happened to it. Besides, it had my sorority letters on it, and I'd feel a little silly wearing it grocery shopping now with three kids in tow. I love your hats, especially that green one! I'm picky with hats, not only for how they fit, but I don't want a bunch of junk on it and don't necessarily want to root for a sports team when I'm having a bad hair day. I've seen Life is Good shirts... where was that? Dick's, maybe? Or Sports Authority? And can we please see a picture of you sporting your hats? And thanks for the McD's idea. I'm now going to take Emma there tomorrow to celebrate the beginning of our Spring Break too! Yay!

I love Life is Good caps too! Hubby just bought me a new one (something I never thought I would ask for) ... the pink one with a flower on top. I'm sure O's preschool class has never seen me without one. They are the best.

Have a wonderful spring break. I cannot wait until we get to have ours - mid April.

Like "His Girl," I don't look that great in hats. But that doesn't stop me from wearing a cool "Scuba in Aruba" hat that I bought after a dive in Aruba. Sometimes a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do-

We're still a couple weeks away from our spring break; but I don't get to sleep in yet. The 2 yr old still wakes up at the same exact time!! Looking forward to those years.

I've never cared much for hats...but those are darling. You may have made me rethink the cap thing.

And you're 5'3"? You look tall & thin in your pics.

My kids Spring Break starts at 3:10pm today...unfortunately, mommy doesn't get a Spring Break, but the kids are going to get to spend some time at their grandparents, so all is good!

Me, too! I slept 'til 8:35! Yippee!

I do like to wear caps and they look nice on me, but do you know? I do not own a cap, at all! I like yours, though. Perhaps sometime, I can purchase one.

Have a wonderful Spring Break, Mer!!

I have that same pink cap and love it! And we get Life Is Good tees from a good friend in Florida every year. We are so excited when we see her name and address on the box. :)

Yeah, I'm noticing that my 1 ball cap is not looking so hot these days. (did my head grow?) So, maybe I'll have to look into the "Life Is Good" stuff! Never had anything from them.

I love the green cap with the pink heart ;)!

I think is shows everyone how much you adore being a mother and Spring Break. You enjoy the little things with your kiddos :)!

I can't get hats BIG enough for my fat head!

I do like "Life Is Good." We were recently introduced to thier products when someone gave my husband, an avid outdoors man, a t-shirt that says Happy hour with a picture of a guy around a camp fire.

And, I don't do well with lazy days. I'm busy trying to make my spring break plans to keep everyone busy. But I still have a couple of weeks.

Spring Break - woohoo! And a celebratory milkshake sounds perfect to me.

When I go on a trip, I freak out if I forget my cap. It is absolutely essential. :)
