Gladitude Monday

A few things that are adding some glad to my 'tude today.

1. The sun is shining. I repeat, the SUN is SHINING. Man, we've had some cold and dreary days lately, but I woke up to sunny blue skies this morning. Makes a huge difference in my mood!

2. My week is NOT busy. Makes me so happy.

3. This is a four-day school week! The kids are off on Friday and Monday, so that means that next week is a four day week too!

4. And not only that, but we only have 13 more school days and they're full of fun things...band concerts, field trips, celebrations, and my personal favorite--field day!!!

5. Glad that I'm getting my hair cut on Friday. It's been 14 weeks (way too long) and needs some serious attention.

6. Glad that my kids all love to read. I was sighing really loudly while picking books up (off the table, off the couch, off the floor, off the bed, etc.) last night and it dawned on me that I might choose instead to be thankful that they are enamored with books. And I am.

7. Glad that John is not traveling this week. He was gone for part of last week and my anxiety was greater than normal since his trip followed so closely on the heels of my purse incident. Thanks to those of you who prayed for me/us. It made a huge difference!

8. Glad that it's May! Lots of good things happen in May! Abbey has chosen "Tulip" as her name of the month. That kid is so stinkin' sweet. She's funny too. She walked in the den last week, fresh from the tub and all wrapped up in her bathrobe, and said "Hey Peeps! What's up?" It was adorable. Equally adorable was the morning she told me she was going to "fiddle-faddle with Maggie (her Webkinz) for awhile" since she was ready for school before the rest of us.

I'm ending with eight things...just to shake my left-brained-OCD-list-making self up a little. Happy Monday. Hope you also have some glad in your 'tude. (Who else thinks Gretchen needs to do a Mr. Linky???)

Tulip - what a doll. I'm wearing Dutch Tulip on my nails today and it makes me happy happy.

I am counting the days with you. I am so ready to sleep in until 8 or later and not have to be anywhere in the morning and staying up late and camping in the yard. The end of the year cannot get here fast enough for me.

Honey...I tried to do a Mr. Linky. And it was bad. Come over and do it for me.

Tulip. How sweet. And fiddle faddle.

We just bought Watership Down as a family read, over the weekend.

Funny, I said to J one day..."We're your peeps." and she said, "And you know we're YOUR posse". I can't keep up.

Isn't it fun to have such cute kids who say such cute things? I'm thankful for mine! :)
I thought you probably knew Shannon and/or Teresa! That's why I made sure to mention them in my blog. I didn't get to talk to Shannon too much, but Teresa and I had a good home school/mommy talk. Enjoy your short school week!

I've got a book worm on my hand, too. We must have 500 kids books around here, no kidding. And we go to the library every week to check out 15 new ones. I love having a kid who loves books as much as I do!

Kids say cute things, don't they. And they apparently take after their parents. Sam has started saying "Oh my goodness!" and "Good gravy!" my kid friendly exclaimations, now that I've given up my few tame swear words.

how do you feel about the webkinz chat thing? my kids are into the whole webkinz thing and i haven't investigated it much so i'm asking another parent rather than doing my own research. do you think it's safe or are some 40 year old men posing as ponies to meet girls?

LOVE your list, friend. It's such a happy one. I must meet this daughter with the monthly names. I think I would so truly love her.

And book reading families are my kind of families.

love that Abbey!

I was just discussing with CPQ about my boy's reading choices but am glad he's choosing to read even if it is entirely non-fiction.

The button does look so NICE!

I always love "glad" lists!
