Happy Birthday Giveaway! (updated)

*UPDATE: It's 8:50pm on Sunday night (May 31) and contrary to what I said about closing comments tonight, I'm not going to because I'm exhausted and cannot stay awake until 10pm. I've decided to leave the giveaway open until sometime Monday afternoon. Let's say 2pm MST Monday, June 1. So, if you're just now reading this, then you're not too late to enter the giveaway.*

A few days ago, I was going through all the "treasures" that my kids brought home on the last day of school and I stumbled across Abbey's writing journal. I sat in the floor and read every single entry. Some made me laugh out loud but all of them made me smile.

Thought I'd share this one with you since today is MY BIRTHDAY!!! (Sorry, my photography skills are lacking. Click on the picture to enlarge it if you want to read what she wrote).

(She guessed correctly...I'm 39 today!)

Because no party is complete without presents, I'm offering you a chance to win something today! My college friend, Renae, makes adorable customized buckets. Click here to visit her Etsy shop. If you see something you like, or if you have an idea of something you'd like her to make, come back and leave me a comment and I'll enter you in the drawing! If you win, you'll get to customize the item of your choice!

I'll leave comments open until 10pm MST Sunday night (May 31) and I'll use a random method to draw a winner on Monday morning. One comment per person, please. You don't have to have a blog to enter, but you MUST leave me some way to contact you.

Happy Birthday! I'm kind-of disappointed you aren't having 38 children. :)

Love the buckets. I think I'd want one with a C on it - to hold icy Diet Coke.

Your friend has an awesome Etsy shop! I'm going to have to bookmark her and keep these in mind for future gifts for my friends' kids...

I love the personalized princess one - Savannah is on a huge princess kick right now, so it would be perfect. Thank you so much!!

Mer,

So fun--happy birthday!

The buckets are really cute--I would get a bright pink one with Natalie's name on it to hold shoes or toys. Thanks for the giveaway!

Cute buckets..I like the pink ice bucket! I'd put ice cubes in it, and then chill my diet cherry coke in style. :)

Holy Buckets!!

...I think I need the airplane bucket for toys in the boys room...so there's that many more places to hold endless amounts of junk!

Happy belated bday my friend. I just did not make it online much yesterday. But I thought of you all day. Praying, too.

Lurve to be included. I like the ovals and rectangles, and I'd probably make it a catch all for my car, e.g. mail, coupons, cell phone. Just so I could organize myself a little bit better.

Hiya! I'm sliding this in just in the nick of time. I hope you're relishing the last hours of a fun birthday weekend!

Fun buckets! I think I'd either pick a red ice bucket for my patio table or a blue bucket with Brody's name for his room. Fun!

Hope your birthday was lots of fun! The journal entry was precious.

I had been checking out Renae's stuff, and I love it all! I think an bucket with a G on it would just be too cute outside by our pool! :)

The buckets are so cute! The princess one would be loved in this house!

These would work great to sit on my daughter's desk and hold art supplies. I may have to order a couple.

Love the buckets! I would do a green ice bucket w/ a big C (Chocolate) on it to hold our dog toys. But I would also love to do buckets w/ each of my family members first initial to put on a shelf in the entry/coat area to hold all the "stuff" that needs to be shed as we walk in the door!
