Couple of things...

It's Thursday night and I feel like I've survived the busiest week I've had in a long time. Whew!

The girls don't have school tomorrow (Will does though!) so it actually feels like Friday night to me and I am looking VERY forward to sleeping in tomorrow. (Except I usually wake up early on days I can actually sleep late--go figure.)

Several of you have asked how my dad is doing and I can tell you that he is rejoicing tonight because his first round of chemotherapy/radiation ends TOMORROW! He tolerated the first few weeks very well, but the last few weeks have been rough. He's hanging in there, but it has required every ounce of strength he has. He'll take a three week break then start his second round of chemo. His doctors are treating this very agressively and have given him a pretty good prognosis.

We went to Will's 6th grade band concert tonight, and it was really good! They've improved SO much since that first concert back in the fall. I can't believe I didn't take a single pic. My camera battery was dead and I didn't realize it in time to charge it. Will was fine with no pics, but it made my mama-heart sad. (Sorry, grandparents...I'll be more on the ball next time.) We were really proud of him tonight!

Okay, two funny things to share with you.
1. If you haven't read the comments on this post, go read them. They are very funny, and very clever.

2. I saw this YouTube video on Lisa's blog today, and it's worth the 23 seconds it takes to watch it. I laughed SO stinkin' hard. So did John. So did my kids. And so did the other dozen people I sent the link to. Here's Lisa's warning: Do not attempt to drink anything while watching unless you like snorting liquids out your nose. And if you don't think this is funny then I don't know what's wrong with you. (I completely agree).

I'm unplugging tomorrow. Ya'll have a great weekend!

Such clever headlines for your last post! LOL

Made me laugh because one time I went to the freezer to take out meet and found phone. ROFL I couldn't find it anywhere and was really confused. Luckily it was only 'missing' for a couple of hours. LOL

Oh, that poor dog! HI-larious.

Enjoy your unplug and your band star. You sound like me--I always h.a.v.e. the camera, but it seems like every time i'm supposed to take a historical picture, the battery dies. Of course, I always have battery for stupid candids.

My kids will be the only ones that don't have a video at their wedding because I never have the camera (and I have one that REFUSES to be filmed...I literally have to sneak the camera to someone else to take pics of him).

Have a nice unplugged day. I'm going to get a massage and pray the teacher doesn't call me in the middle of it.

Mer,

Was glad to read this update about your dad.

That video is so funny--I love when our dog "dreams" out loud and moves his leg--I always want to know what he's chasing!

I'd planned to submit a caption until I read them--they're much better than what I'd come up with!

Have a good weekend.

I love that video so much. Makes me giggle.

Don't feel bad about the pictures....I never seem to have my camera when I need it. Oh well.

Hope you had a great unplugged day.

Someone sent me this video this week. It's so funny! Never saw a dog get so into it while asleep!

Another VERY funny video to watch is Mama Belle's husband in the Eyebrow War. It's hilarious! Her site is http://www.bayoubelles.com/2009/03/great-eyebrow-war-of-2009.html

I had no idea about your dad (I haven't had a chance to get all caught up on my reading). I'm glad he will have this first round behind him. Please keep us posted on how he is doing.

That video is funny! Hope you have a great weekend.

I love your blog.

I am new to the blogging world, but have been a reader for several years.

I am so excited about all the new friends I have met in just a couple of weeks.

When you have some time, stop by and visit my blog.

Good news about your Dad! Its good to hear.

Its been a week since I read blogs (that mid week slump hit me hard) and I feel like I haven't "talked" to you in ages.

Hope you have an awesome weekend!

I've heard of puppy dreams, but that's the funniest thing I've ever seen, Mer. My goodness, that dog really sleeps hard! He had to get going seriously fast before he woke himself up. Laughing my head off here, so I guess there's nothing wrong with me. LOL

Well, I hope you got to sleep in this morning...that's what Saturdays are all about.

SO glad to hear that your dad is handling his treatment well...I know it has to be such a difficult thing to undergo.

Enjoy your weekend (unplugged)! :)
