Know What Starts T-O-D-A-Y???

Girl Scout Cookie sales begin today. And do you know what we have living in our house? A Daisy Girl Scout.

She's pretty excited about getting to sell cookies. It's my understanding that this is the first year Daisies have been permitted to sell them. She got her info packet yesterday at our meeting, and she came home and spent the longest time just looking at every.single.piece of information that our "Cookie Mom" gave us. She was almost in tears when I tucked her in because she had to go to school today and she couldn't understand how she was going to sell cookies if she was at school. So sweet!

So...I'm sure that Girl Scouts in your neck of the woods will be knocking on your door soon! Be nice to them....they're probably just as excited (and nervous) as my little Girl Scout is!

Mmmm...I can already taste the Thin Mints! I hope they still have them. Where I live they no longer come door to door but just set up outside stores, so I guess I just need to be at the right place at the right time! Have fun selling!

That girl is her Daddy made over, in a feminine way, of course, LOL! ;o)

Samoas are my weakness. If y'all lived closer I'd sure buy some from her.

Hugs,

Diane

My little Junior is just as excited, I think, in her 4th year of selling them. I'm thankful that, after 4 great years, someone else is her leader this year. :) All good things...

She is so cute! Where's the syrup?

Kylie gets hers on Monday...I am so not good with selling things. Hopefully, I will learn, as Kylie sells.

Praying for you today!

Yummy! I remember selling as a little girl too! :o) Our favorites are the chocolate with peanut butter.....it was a red box the last few years! How do I remember the color of the girl scout cookie box BUT forget that I had to pick up Craig's shirts the other day! :o) Priorities, I guess!

Just found your blog through Kelly! Mmmm, there's nothing quite like Girl Scout Cookies. I can eat an entire box in one sitting. Theoretically, of course...not that I've ever done it or anything. ;)

She's adorable! And I LOVE girl scout cookies!!!! I hope one DOES knock on my door. (if not - I always find them outside Wal-Mart!)

When I heard on Kelly's blog that there was another Meredith from OBU I had to come right over and check you out! :)

Your family is beautiful! I would totally buy cookies from that sweet smiling face. I can never turn away a child selling things because I know how nervous they must be. Good luck to her!

I'm off to read some more. :)

Oh Mer! Your little Daisy is so sweet!

I was at breakfast yesterday with a friend who leads a troop. I turned to her and said "I know you will be selling cookies soon, when does that start? Don't forget to send your daughter over to me."

She looked at me and said, "I am not being rude, but I can't talk to you about this until tomorrow."

Wow! such secrecy with the cookies! But she did say that it was because it gives everyone a chance to have equal opportunity!

I hope you guys sell a lot!

Oh, I wish I could buy some Thin Mints and Trefoils from Abbey...do they still sell Trefoils??
And I'm very impressed with your ch. ch. cookies. In 12 years in Idaho the only not-flat-as-a-pancake ones we had were from store-bought dough, so I just quit. Moved here and bam, good cookies again. Crazy.

I can't think of any cookie, besides chocolate chip, that I love more than girl scout thin mints. Yum--double yum. I won't be buying any this year--thanks to the whole weight watchers thing. I'm not sure how it's going to work, but I will let you know what I think. I know that at 22 points, I am starving. We'll see...

I was in Girl Scouts and have many fond memories from those days. I love the cookies, but I have to say that I have a hard time swallowing the fact that they're now $3.50 a box!
